Geocache Description:

Parking inside Stone Mountain is $10/ day, $35 / year or you can walk, bike, or pogo-stick your way into the park for free. The area is only open sunup to sundown, and I don't suggest starting within an hour of dusk.

Oh by the way read the whole description before you start, you might save yourself an extra trip around if you do.

The idea here is to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing hike around a not so well known trail inside Stone Mountain Park. It is a easy to moderate trail that kids and adults can all enjoy. I encourage you to take your time and take in the beauty and peaceful surroundings that this quiet part of Stone Mountain offers. Of course you can run the thing if you're just wanting to knock it out quickly but you may find yourself huffing and puffing, walking in circles and ending up right where you started if you do that.

From the posted coordinates, you'll find yourself at the beginning of the red trail. It's markers are distinct and the granite posts should lead you most of the way to through the cache. I have listed waypoints for trail markers for reference purposes, you shouldn't need them if you just follow the markers along the north loop of the trail. I also suggest that you keep count of the posts as you spot them. You should pass 10 different posts on your way, including the one at the trail head.

As you begin you'll notice an observation deck on your left and the second trail marker on your right. This is a good place to take a break when you get done or if you're stumped for a while or just need to clear your mind some day. Count the number of benches on the observation deck.
A = number of benches + 4

Continue on the trail until you reach an intersection. There should be an trail map nearby that lets you know which trail is the "north loop". Count the number of yellow stars found on the map.
B = number of stars + 8

You should soon reach a foot bridge as you go along the trail. You'll need to keep count of the total number of bridges that you cross as you continue along the trail (including this one).
C = TOTAL number of bridges + 4.

Keep going until you reach an area that is an obvious resting spot. Count the number of benches that you can choose from. Note that you do NOT have to leave the trail to reach the bench(es).
D = number of benches  + 6.

Follow trail past two additional markers to the 9th marker. Note the number of birds on this marker.
E = number of birds on the tenth marker + 7.

As you continue towards the tenth and final marker you notice that you have nearly completed the loop. At the tenth marker you'll need to count the number of arrows on the marker.
F = number of arrows on the tenth marker +6.

Congratulations, You now have the information that you need to calculate the coordinates for the final container. Good luck and enjoy. Please place the cache back exactly how you found it to preserve the location of the final stage for future cachers. Also try to CITO throughout all of Stone Mountain park as you enjoy this wonderful park.
