How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

This is part of a small series started by balancingwalcheros centred around the great British icon - the red telephone box. These telephone boxes are gradually being phased out, but this one remains in a prominent position, although it is no longer in use as a phone box.

The cache host is literally next to Thame Town Hall. The actual cache, a magnetic nano is not in or on the phone box. However, it is just a few feet away.

The Town Hall was built in 1888. It stands in the middle of the long and wide High Street. The Upper High Street is used weekly on Tuesdays for a general market. The area close to the town hall occasionally has specialist markets and the cache on such occasions may not be able to reached. The same applies when the street fairs come to the town in early autumn.

Stealth is required here as it is a high muggle area.

No pen is provided, so you will need to use your own to enter your user name. Tweezers may be needed also.

Geocaching Etiquette. geocaching.com states under 'Help Center' in Paragraph 1.7: 'We like to keep things fun for everyone, so we have a few rules we encourage everyone to follow. Sign both the logbook and log your find online to get your smiley. Geocache owners love reading about your experience'. There are more rules, but this is the first one. This cache owner requests that if on the rare occasion geocachers are unable to sign, an explanation is given in their log. A photo of the cache, if possible should then be sent through the messaging system.

If anybody would like to expand this series, please do. All we would ask is that you let balancingwalcheros know first so that they can inform you of the next number in the series to avoid duplication.
