Geocache Description:

Christmas geocache hidden along the mountain bike trails in Sprain Ridge.

As you join the mountain bike trail from the beginner parking lot, stray a little from the beaten path for a moment. Look for me hiding in the shade of the protection of what might become a nursery log! Don't get distracted by the highway and forget you're in the forest :)

Sprain Ridge is a 278 acre park flanked between the northbound and southbound lanes of the Sprain Book Parkway. Its name may have come from the word "spraints," which means otter dung, since there used to be many otters in the area! Gross!

My sister taught me how to mountain bike on these trails and also took me on my first geocache experience in Alaska. I started this geocache box as a Christmas gift for her in 2012 in the hopes that it will be something we can share forever. I hope you will stop by and be a part of this present, and spread holiday cheer all year long :)
