Now you're Stalking! Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Beach_hut: Checked and I'm afraid it is missing.

We've decided to retire this puzzle as it's run its course a bit. There will be new puzzles to solve in the future, of that you can be certain [;)]

mike4096 can of course log this with our blessing [:)]

Thanks for everyone who took the time to stalk us and come and find this one.

Geocache Description:

A cache placed in honour of our 2000th cache find! The cache is not located at the above co-ordinates. Do not attempt to visit them.

In order to find out where the cache is, you will need to stalk us, or in other words answer a few questions on our first 2000 cache finds. All of the answers to the questions below can be found by accessing our public profile, you nosey so-and-sos!!

It wouldn't be a Beach_hut cache though if there wasn't the odd twist...

You will have noticed the answers are not necessarily of one digit. Oh, and did I mention there are some red herrings? I'll leave you to work out how to handle them yourselves...

You can assume N 52° **.*** W 000° **.***. Please note also this puzzle refers to our first 2000 finds only, therefore you can disregard all of our caching activity after we reached this milestone on 3rd February 2013.

The questions:

A On a business trip to Glasgow in 2009 Mr BH found a cache whose name was a lady’s name. Add up the numerals in the GC code of this cache. If your answer is 10 or more, add up the digits of the answer until you arrive at a one-digit number.
(Incidentally, once you’ve identified the cache concerned, have a read of the story recounted on the cache page, It’s most interesting.)

B What is the highest number of Letterbox caches we’ve found in one day?

C Nearly two years ago (at time of placing) we found a much-loved cache whose name implied a certain number of wooden objects. How many?

D The very day we registered our Geocaching account, another cache was being hidden, which we went on to find 17 months or so later. What is the last numeral in the cache hider’s name?

E One of our favourite types of caches is the Church Micro. But we've found a number of church caches (by which I mean caches that have the letters 'church' consecutively in the name, including as part of a larger word) that are not Church micros. How many? (final digit of your answer, add 1)
(NB there are some borderline cases in our finds, for simplicity if you see the words 'church', 'micro', and a number in the cache title, for these purposes it's a church micro.)

F & G On a trip to London in May 2011 Mr BH found a cache whose name contained differing numbers. What were they? (numbers in order) NB You're looking for two distinct numbers and not a two-digit number.

H On another trip to London we were able to find 7 different types of cache in one day. In chronological order that day, in what order did we find the letterbox cache?
(NB we are talking about distinct cache types rather than cache finds, for example we found several different traditional caches. Basically, disregard any cache after the first cache of that type we found that day for the purposes of this question, you are only considering the 7 caches of seven different types.)
Which day was this? Well you can work out for yourselves…

I We have found three caches with exactly the same co-ords. Although we found them on different days, two of the three were eligible to be logged on the same day. Work out which day of the month the first of these was placed (chronologically).

J How many smileys did we log on the second International Geocaching Day?

K On 16th April 2011 we walked round a trail hidden by a much-celebrated cacher, and good friend of ours. But which numbered cache did we like so much we gave a favourite point to it?

L On the weekend that Geocaching celebrated its 10th anniversary we hit a milestone of our own. How many hundreds of caches did we get to on that weekend?

You are looking for a nano. You will need to bring your own pen. Buggy and stroller accessible up to the last metre or so.

The difficulty rating refers to the puzzle and not the cache itself, which should be a straightforward find for most of you.

Parking suggestion is given in the geochecker. Cache is a few minutes walk away. Please park considerately.

Absolutely no spoilers please of any kind.
