Little Monsters - Treslothan Church Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Tom&Christina: After 3 years and just shy of 100 finds, time for this one to be gone we think. As there is a Church Micro here, hopefully people will still see this lovely little hidden gem.

Thanks to all the previous finders.

Geocache Description:

A medium sized lock and lock box hidden near Treslothan Church.

Congratulations to Stompy&Stampy for the FTF!

This cache is placed up the road from Treslothan Church and war memorial.  This is a lovely spot - well worth a moment of your time, but could be done as a cache and dash as there is parking near the church.

The church of St. John, erected in 1841, is a building of stone with granite quions, in the Early English style, and consists of chancel, nave, aisles, south porch and a turret containing one bell; there is an ancient font; this church occupies the site of an earlier structure, among the ruins of which an inscribed and curiously carved piece of granite was found; there are 250 sittings. The register dates from the year 1841.

In the churchyard is a mausoleum, erected in 1854, over the grave of Edward William Wynne Pendarves esq, MP by his widow Tryphena Wynne Pendarves.
