Just a short hike on trail to black bluff out look. Container is a small pill bottle with log and small trade items. A presidential gold dollar is for the FTF.
Cache is in the Elephant Butte State Park on the west lake shore trail. The trail is all graveled and graded with rock borders. No motorized vehicles are allowed but dogs are if on leash. This loop takes you to the Black bluffs overlook and back to the next access road. Trail info is on a sign at the winter parking and also at the trail head. Access is off I-25 at exit 83 to 195 and left on rock canyon road. This is state park so a parks pass or day pass is required. A self pay station is at the first WP. During the summer the road is open to the trail head and beyond but use caution if 2wd vehicle as the road is very sandy. Parking is road side here.
