Geocache Description:

Located in Varnamtown, a small fishing village in Brunswick County, on the North Carolina
coast.

This cache is located at "The Landing" -- where boats dock and travel the Lockwood Folly River to the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean.   You'll find several local, fresh seafood establishments where they sell straight from the boats.  Spending a little time at "The Landing" is like going back in time.

Also, as you make your way through Varnamtown to get to the docks, look at the names on many of the mailboxes. See if you can figure out how the town came to be named.

Thank you to hudacko for the container.
