Geocache Description:

We are placing this cache in honor of The World's Largest Living Christmas Tree. This Tree is a massive live Oak Tree covered with spanish moss, and is believed to be more than 400 years old!! It was first lit in 1928 becoming a much loved Wilmington tradition. It has been lit every year except for one year during World War II and now in 2012. It has been a family tradition for us for 40 plus years, 4 generations of our family have made this a part of our Christmas Celebrations with some traveling over 650 miles each Christmas to see it. So we place this cache in honor of the World's Largest Living Christmas Tree and we hope to see it lit once again next year. If we lose our traditions and history we may lose our focus for the future.
