Geocache Description:

Here be the twisted tale of battle and fortune, of the pirate known as Blackhead. Blackhead had a fearsome demeanour and struck a terrifying silhouette with his two wooden legs and a hook in place of his left hand. The sight of his ship, the Black Booty, on the horizon struck terrible fear into the hearts of even the most hardened sailor.

Blackhead's reputation as a ruthless pirate and supreme seaman preceded him at every port. Some said brine instead of blood flowed in his veins. Others dared not speak his name! Such was the myth of Blackhead.

With an ample cargo hold overflowing with ill-gotten treasures, the Black Booty was last seen sailing from Port of Spain into a terrible storm - none the like of which had been seen for a hundred years. Hatches battened and crew roped to the decks, the mighty Black Booty disappeared into the waves and spray. Some say he met his maker in a watery grave while others still dared not utter his name.

Rumours will what rumours be, and whispers spoke in hushed tones and behind trembling hands of every imaginable end. Some say the treasure of Blackhead was scattered across the bottom of the seven seas. Others say he buried it on a desert island, and others still do not dare speak his name.

Choose to believe what ye will, but know that the treasure of Blackhead - cursed, they say, and guarded from beyond this mortal realm - is out there... somewhere...
