The cache is located at a well-maintained crossing point of the old railway line between Kloof and Everton.
Trains nowadays run only as far as Pinetown, and the section of the Old Main Line between Pinetown and Cato Ridge is largely disused.
Once a month or so, the Umgeni Steam Railway runs excursion trains between Kloof and Inchange, and this is now the only section of the track that gets used.
Local businesses have teamed up to beautify & maintain this crossing point, which is used mainly by domestic and garden workers walking to and from their places of work.
