Geocache Description:

This cache has had to be slightly relocated due to the tragic disappearance of the original hiding place - see my log of 01/20/2013. A fairly straightforward urban cache 'n' dash. GZ is wheelchair accessible, as is the cache itself. Tweezers may be needed to remove logsheet. Recommend logsheet roller to aid replacement. Please try not to lose the retaining band around logsheet.

There used to be 3 interesting historic features here within less than a stone's throw of each other. Two on the south side of the road, and one on the north. The 19th century iron water pump has now sadly disappeared, presumed stolen for its scrap-metal value between 16th and 20th January 2013. This cache now serves as a memorial to that venerable old feature.

Container is a small vial containing only a logsheet so please bring pen or pencil. GZ is overlooked by residential properties very nearby, and the area can be very busy with school-related pedestrian traffic at times so STEALTH / CAUTION AND SENSIBLE TIMING MAY BE NEEDED!
