Lets all get together on behalf of our furry caching companions.
GeocacheAlaska has been asked to put out the word of a seminar put on by the Alaska Trappers Association. It's a Training seminar on how to keep Victor & Mesa, Aero & Kona, and Sugar & The shipwrecks safe around traps and Trap lines. We gotta protect Nemo & Pearl, Ra & Smokey dog, Mi & Mo, and all the others ya know.
We'll attend along with other user dog-loving groups such as The Anchorage Skijor Club.
The trappers will show a video on how to know when you're around trap lines in the back country, as well as have demonstrations with real traps so we know how to handle them in the field if needed. This will be followed by a Questions and Answers session.
This is a great chance to learn how to protect our pals and ourselves through knowledge. So let's show up in droves and thank them for the opportunity. You are encouraged to attend even if you do not own a dog because you may be the one to help a friend save their dog with what you learn tonight.
