A small traditional cache placed in Abel Tasman National Park
Watering Cove is one of the many bays along the coastal track in the Abel Tasman National Park. Camping permitted here but the cove itself is quite small so there is not actually that much space.
There was a cache here in the past (GCX44Z) which has been archived for some time. I think its a very special spot so have placed a new cache here now. The new cache is not near the 'kiwi' so hopefully may survive a bit better than the predecessor.
From the main coastal track, take the signposted side track to Watering Cove. When you get to the beach, look to your right and you will see the big thirsty kiwi.
To find the cache, turn to your left and follow the beach round where you GPS will take you. Satellite coverage was not great near GZ so I've added a hint to help.
This is a 3 - 4 hour walk from the track start in Marahau.
Cache is a 200ml Sistema container with log, pencil, eraser and room for small swaps.
