Geocache Description:

Embsay is a village in the Craven district of North Yorkshire and is situated about 2 miles north-east of Skipton. The village and the neighbouring village of Eastby form the civil parish of Embsay with Eastby, which has a population of 1,758, and up until now no caches.

Embsay has two pubs, one of which is opposite the cache and was named after an elm tree that stood here for many years. It was replaced in the late 20th century due to Dutch elm disease, but in 2006 that replacement was also taken down. A replacement tree was planted in 2007.

The area is popular with walkers and there are several other caches in the surrounding area.

The cache is a magnetic micro
