Geocache Description:

According to religious tradition, there are 7 "Guardian" angels.   Gabriel is the seventh cache placed in the series based on these seven angels, also known as “Archangels”.

Gabriel, whose name means "The Strength of God", seems to be the designated Messenger of God or the angel of revelation. He is mentioned twice in the Bible - once in the Old Testament and once in the New Testament. He is most famous as being the angel who appeared to both Zechariah and to the virgin Mary foretelling the births of John the Baptist and Jesus respectively.   In Daniel he is also mentioned as the angel who helped Daniel with the interpretation of dreams.    In art, Gabriel is often depicted in art blowing a horn. Other symbols that represent Gabriel include a lantern, a mirror, a shield, a lily, a scepter, a spear, and an olive branch.

Each of the 8 caches in this series will be located on a guardrail somewhere near the Union, Washington, St. Clair area (thus the name “GUARDian Angels").  Each one of the first seven angel caches will contain a gold number which you will need to write down, along with the corresponding angel name, in order to solve the final and eighth cache in the series called, "The Celestial City". Hopefully this series will add a little fun to the general dislike of guardrail caches!

There is safe parking for this cache is directly across the street about a 50’ away.   Cache is wheel-chair accessible, but I would be very careful crossing the street in a wheel chair.    Please BYOP!
