If you are heading down south or in the Mandurah area take the Old Coast Road Deviation and visit lake Clifton. Check out the Thrombolites while you are there. There is a winery close by for those who feel inclined. Take the walk trail for an invigorating bush walk if you are feeling energetic! You can do the Living Rocks Earthcache if you wish and also submit photos taken from the "camera stations" on the boardwalk.
This cache is a camo fruit container. Do not go directly through the bush from the car park. Take the formed path towards the Thrombolites until you get to the sign indicating the "Lake Clifton Walk Trail Loop". Head north along the "Lake Clifton Walk Trail Loop" for only a short distance until you reach the cache. There is no need to go off path to find this one.
Usual things to be aware of here as in any bush situation: snakes, ticks, spiders, mozzies etc are all possible so please be careful, take all precautions and be prepared. Please also be aware of the bushy shrubs growing here which have sharp fronds so please supervise your children - they can cut young fingers (as well as old)! I don't think they are native plants so please be careful?
Remember to log your visit in the included log.
Please replace the cache in its hiding spot.
There is a First To Find Toy Trophy in the cache so good luck!
FIRST TO FIND HONOURS GO JOINTLY TO MISTRALUNA & WA K TEAM. A GREAT TEAM EFFORT. THANKS GUYS!!
