Geocache Description:

Thought I would give the puzzles a break for some of you. Along with a favorite true story of mine.

Pirates were known for plundering many types of treasures in the 18th centuary. Gold, clothes, maps, linin, food, sugar, jewellery, slaves and even candles. But one pirate captain stands head high above the rest. Presumably because he was trying to get to fresh air.

Captain Pirate Basil Hood  thought that he was the greatest pirate to plunder the dry land and make off to the sea. In 1713 the Captain and crew docked off the coast of Scotland and overnight they stole their booty. Their choice of the pick:  A herd of cows.

With the beefy bovines stored below deck in the cargo hold, they set forth, but did not make it very far before they realised that cows, with their many stomachs, have a tendency towards seasickness.

So there they were, the stench of the cows and their vomit below them, the stench of the vomit on them, it was pretty hard to deal with. So when in the distance they spotted the flag of one of His Majesties Royal Navy ships, they waved her down, to surrender and hopefully escape the foulness of the situation.

The Admiral on board of the ship came across to assess the situation of the pirates, then after a (most likely brief) viewing of the case, decided that Basil Hood and his crew could bloody well stay on that wretched ship rather than arrest them.
