Geocache Description:

This is a one off cache, not part of a series and is placed in Penn, a short distance from the Penn Road (A449).

The cache is hidden in a nice little wooded area and very close to a small pond. So please be careful with small children. There is ample parking nearby, so need for a long walk. The Doomsday Book shows lower Penn belonging to Lady Godiva and Upper Penn to her son Earl Algar. The word name Penn probably comes from one of the Celtic languages, it means head in both Welsh and Breton and, refers to the ridge which runs from Church Hill to Mount Road.
