At the mouth of one of the most natural riverheads in Florida, find your own backstory.
It's unclear how many people know about this place, but it's among my favorites in Florida. If you come on a weekday you're likely to be the only person around. There's a rope swing, and see if you can find the place where the diving board used to be. The cache is hidden off a path near the picnic area in the type of tree that one normally associates with Florida. Rent a canoe or a kayak and lose a day. See birds, gators, snakes. Fish. This is, for me, what Florida is, through and through.
