The cache is located on the Pimiteoui Trail near a bend in the trail.
The winding Pimiteoui Trail starts just across Forest Park Road from the Forest Park Nature Center and winds its way up into the bluffs along the Illinois River. The cache is located on within few hundred yards of the first Listening Point on the trail where a nice bench provides a break from the approximate thirty minute hike. After finding the cache, continue on to the Listening Point bench provides a lovely vista of the bluff lined with stately homes and under the gaze of the Peoria Heights Water Tower. Sitting quietly you can hear the sounds of an active and healthy forest. Recent controlled burns in the area have opened the vista allowing the native flora to replenish. You can continue on the hike to Grandview Drive and a beautiful view of the "Fat Lake" which is the wide section of the Illinois River.
