This cache is located in a well loved park area that used to be an orchard. Fruit trees still abound here and in autumn offer a huge amount of bounty. Liquorice used to be grown here in the 17th century. Now blackberrys rule and lots of local folk come here to pick them at the appropriate season. On looking at old maps of the area this park appears to have never been developed. It is maintained by a dedicated group of volunteers to whom we should all be grateful. In recent years they have created a wonderful public garden with all sorts of secret little corners. CITO events happen here every so often so if you are local keep your eye on this area for the next one they are well worth attending.
