Geocache Description:

This place is steeped in history. Was once the entrance to a busy harbour where the sea lapped against the walls.and the old.sailing boats entered. Still a busy harbour but no longer a harbour entrance as its deep inside the harbour.

This cache combines geocaching, Shopping and sight seeing. You can walk here and never be far from refreshments, not a beautiful place in terms of been a natural environment. Decided to create this cache, as it is a very useful cache as you can check your GPS for accuracy at it. From the cache cross over the bridge and go and check out Chavones Battery, once a battery to protect the harbour entrance, and recently rediscovered after hundreds of years of been buried below modern buildings

You need to tell me what this point is and what it commemorates.
