Geocache Description:

A cache in the Mangemangeroa reserve. The reserve is described as an area of 'dramatic estuarine landscape at the edge of the urban area'. It has a wide variety of native birds and the flora found in the Reserve represents a variety of podocarp and coastal forest not easily viewed elsewhere in the suburban Auckland region.
 

A nice boardwalk track brings you along the estuary edge and starts from Somerville Road and ends at Sandspit, you can return the way you came or via the road.

Entrances are off Somerville Road, Sandspit Road and Pohutukawa Avenue or the main entrance by a barn at 108 Somerville Road, Howick, where there is a car park and track information. You can also continue on the recently opened extention towards Haley's Lane (off Point View Drive)

Be aware of muggles as they can appear behind you at all times. Enjoy the view over the estuary and beyond from GZ.
