Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden in the very well known Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens.
While doing some caching in the botanical gardens, I discovered that I had a prepared cache in my "box of tricks", and I thought: What an excellent place to hide a quick cache next to one of the many pathways.

The cache is a micro container which contains only a logsheet, so please bring your own pen/pencil.

The cache coordinates will only bring you to the parking area outside the gardens. To find the cache you will have to solve the mathematical puzzle below.

Fill the numbers 1-9 in the boxes to correctly complete the formulas. Don't use normal mathematical precedence for the operations, but simply do them one after the other from left to right and top to bottom. In other words for row A first do the + then the x.

Then determine the coordinates as follows (where a zero appears, it has been filled in, and [b2] = the digit at Row B, column 2, etc.):

S 26 0[B2].[A1][C2][A3] E 027 [B2]0.[B2][C3][C2]

You can check your coordinates below

This Botanical Garden was founded in 1982, but has been a popular venue for outings since the 1800's. The Garden has been voted the best picnic spot in Gauteng for 5 years in a row.

The natural vegetation of the area is known as the 'Rocky Highveld Grassland' and consists of a mosaic of grassland and savanna, with dense bush in kloofs and along streams. The variety of habitats accommodates over 600 naturally occurring plant species.

A breeding pair of majestic Verreaux's Eagles nest on the cliffs alongside the waterfall. The Garden is home to an abundance of wildlife with over 220 birds species recorded on site. There are also a number of reptiles and small mammals, including small antelope and jackals, which occur naturally in the Nature Reserve.
