A magnetic micro smack in the middle of the Fifth Ward. In the open but hidden just enough. There may be many drive-by muggles (especially on Sundays) so you need to be stealth. CONGRATS to Plaidsheets on FTF!!!
If you were Irish and landed in Newport in the 19th Century, odds are you made your home in the Fifth Ward, on the city's South side. Perhaps you helped bulid the nearby 21 acre Fort Adams or found employment along the waterfront at the Newport Gaslight Company or, when Kingscote, Chateau-sur-Mer, and the Breakers were built, someone like you had to take care of those massive "summer cottages". The tenacity with which the neighborhood has clung to its name over the years (it was absorbed by the Third Ward voting district in the 1950's) is indictive of the strong cultural spirit of the people who live here, and have for generations.
