Geocache Description:

Come along to meet your fellow cachers at our Fun & Funky February Bowling Event!

Who: Any and all geocachers and their families
What: An unfancy, unshmancy bowling party with one round each of Funky & BINGO bowling
When: Saturday, February 2nd 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm (arrive from 5.30 pm to get your shoes and allocated into teams, bowling starts at 6pm)
Where: Madison Heights, Park Drive, Maldon, CM9 5JQ
Why: Because it's lots of fun!

I have provisionally booked a number of lanes for which I have paid a deposit. It would be helpful if you could log your intention to attend as soon as possible so I can gauge if I have booked enough lanes.

We're having a good old fashioned bowling party! With a twist. We'll play "Funky Bowling" and "BINGO Bowling".

No winners or losers, no prizes (except bragging rights); this evening of fun is for the pure joy of having a good time and lots of laughs with great geo-friends, old and new.

We'll be bowling in teams of 6 so if you want to make your team up ahead of time go ahead. If not, we'll divvy ourselves up into teams at the alley.

I have an info sheet with more details about the cost and how to pay, what's included, how to play Funky and BINGO bowling, the venue etc., so if your interested post your 'will attend' or a 'note' log and I'll email it to you.

There is a £10.50 charge for anyone bowling, but you can still attend the event even if you are not bowling and it's free to watch.

The venue is wheelchair accessible. If you require an accessible lane please let me know as soon as possible.

Food is available at this venue, but I've been advised you should book if you intend to sit down to eat for either Izumi's or the Central Diner. Otherwise bar snacks are also available which you can eat at your bowling lane.

Be sure to wear your best funky and glow in the dark clothing as we can have the fluorescent party lights on if there's enough of us attending.

***Please, post your "will attend" log as soon as possible. If you are planning to bowl please could you log and send your payment to me by Tuesday, January 29th at the latest, so I can let them know how many to expect and adjust the lanes booked if necessary. We'd hate to see you get there and not have a lane for you to use.
