HA 2 - Rudolph the Red Nose... Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

thebedfords: I've decided to archive the majority of this series; many of the caches were getting tired and so I thought it best to archive it now before it fell into too much disrepair. Many thanks to everyone who has done the caches, I've really enjoyed reading all of the logs.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Hanbury Amble, a series of 14 caches in the grounds of Hanbury Hall, a National Trust property. Some caches contain information that will help you locate the bonus cache.

AAll of the caches are designed to be nice, easy finds - Christmas is stressful enough without giving you a lot of sneaky caches too! Please take a pen and some tweezers may be useful.

You might also want to take in the nearby Church Micro and an existing cache within the Hall's parkland.

Built in 1701 by Thomas Vernon, a lawyer and whig MP for Worcester, Hanbury Hall is a beautiful country house, now in the ownership of the National Trust. Surrounding the house are eight hectares (20 acres) of recreated early 18th-century gardens and 162 hectares (400 acres) of park. Features include the intricately laid out parterre, fruit garden, grove, orangery, orchard and bowling green. A walk around the park will lead you into the surrounding countryside.

All caches have been placed with the kind permission of the Park and Gardens Manager at the Property.

All of the land is let to tenant farmers and you are asked to stick to public footpaths and keep dogs under close control as animals may be grazing throughout the year.

Ample, free parking is available by Hanbury Church, at all times. The car park adjacent to the property is for National Trust visitors to the house, gardens and park and only opens with the property. Please only park here if you intend to visit the property as a National Trust member or a paying visitor.
