Geocache Description:

Please note that the coords take you to the churchyard of this church. From here, you need to FIND the tomb. The coords will not take you to the tomb itself.
A quick multi close to Hanbury Church (St Mary the Virgin).

To find the cache you need to locate the tomb of Thomas Bowater Vernon which can be found very close to the Church and is easily accessible from the path.

There is plenty of parking available at the Church.

This beautiful Grade I listed Church, which dates back to 1210, is on a site that has been used for Christian worship since the 9th century. The site is that of an Iron age hill fort. The Church has a Medieval Naive, Georgian Tower and features Victorian additions. The peal of 8 bells dates from 1678 and are used by BBC Radio 4 for the Archers.

The cache can be found at N52 16.ABC w002 04.DEF

To calculate the final coords, first of all, you need to find the memorial tomb of Thomas Bowater Vernon, which lies very close to the Church and can be accessed from the path.

From this, work out the following:
A: The number of wheatsheaves on the tomb, doubled.
B: Number of roses around the door to the left of the tomb
C: Number of columns supporting the arch above the tomb
D: Number of columns minus number of roses on top of the tomb
E: Number of roses on top of the tomb plus number of wheatsheaves
F: Date of the month he died minus number of roses along the front edge of the tomb.
