This event will be the second time we introduce a twist to get togethers. We will be teaming up with how many you can fit in a vehicle (comfortably) and do some caching on wheels. A Cachin' Road Rally is what we call it. Yes, you will have to make some quick stops, short hikes, cyphering, intriguing hunts with some new challenges and all with your team. EACH TEAM MUST HAVE A CELL PHONE AND A DIGITAL CAMERA TO COMPETE.
The better your team works together the better chance you have of the best time with shortest mileage being used as a tie-breaker... get a ticket and you will be penalized more ways than one. This is just the beginning...
Please decorate your vehicle for this event as Turtle3863 will be judging for the Best in Geocaching Road Rally Spirit.
Check-in is between 8:00 and 9:45am at Jerry's Restaurant in the back room. This is a great place for breakfast while mixing and mingling. Group Picture at 10:00am and then the Team Event will be explained.
The get back together location will be at Ryans at 1:30. If you have not checked in by then you may be eliminated. After lunch there will be discussions about the Rally before the presentations. There will be some new permanent caches to log during the Road Rally as well as the event itself. We hope you can spend the better part of the day with us but feel free to visit either end if your schedule dictates.
Because of reserving rooms at both the beginning and ending locations and providing staff to support the size of our group we need an accurate number when you post your "will attend".
