Geocache Description:

Silver bison secured in a flood-proof spot

Patriots' Path stretches from East Hanover which connects with the Lenape Trail in Essex County to Allamuchy Mountain State Park in Sussex County and the Village of High Bridge in Hunterdon County. Any Morris County cacher worth their salt has been on Patriots Path. It is ubiquitous and traverses some of the most beautiful terrain in the county. However, there are some sections that I would bet that most cachers have never been on, nor even know that they exist.

This is the first of a series of caches to highlight these lesser known stretches and give them their due. This cache is placed at the eastern terminus of Patriots Path just west of the Passaic River in East Hanover. This area is part of Lurker Park and floods frequently so wear proper footwear based on the recent weather.
