The Wetlands Tree Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Avos72: Unfortunately I am archiving these as they keep going missing and after a message I have received from another geocacher stating that they have been pinching them I don't see the point in putting the time and effort in. Very disappointed as this was a nice series! I have notified the reviewers about the cacher in question so hopefully they wont interfere with anyone else's in the area.
The caches that are still active in this series I will leave until they go missing so grab them whilst they are there! Thanks.

Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series of 14 caches around the Marshside Wetlands, this circular walk should take about 1hr 30mins.

The cache is placed on the public footpath along the Coastal Road. Please rehide well as this is a high muggle zone, thanks

There's something for everyone all year round at this delightful coastal reserve. In the spring you can see brown hares boxing in the fields, while in the early summer you'll spot nesting birds like avocets and lapwings. During the winter months the skies fill with visiting waterfowl such as pink-footed geese and wigeons, not to mention birds of prey that can set flocks wheeling over the marshes.

There are two hides, a viewing platform and three viewing screens.

The following link will provide you with all the info you need on the birds and wildlife at the reserve, plus events and handy tips if you are new to bird watching...

Whilst doing this cache you can help with conservation by observing a few simple rules:
1, Please keep dogs under close control or on leads and please clean up there mess.
2, Please do not disturb the wildlife, keep people and dogs out of the slacks (breeding pools) in spring and summer.
3, Please take any litter with you, there are bins on the car park.
4, Please keep small children supervised at all times

Please DO NOT park on the road, this is a very fast and busy stretch of the Coastal Road. There is a car park at my Junction Pool cache which is free all day. There is a pedestrian crossing to get you back on the right side.

The cache is a large pill bottle. It will hold very small TBs/swaps and a log. You will need to bring your own pen. Please place back exactly where found so the cache doesnt get disturbed by litter pickers and volunteer tidy uppers.

Cache placed with the kind consent of the Marshside RSPB Warden

Happy caching!

Congrats to TMD for a speedy FTF
