For Oreo2012 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MN.Fruitcake: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact me (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, I'll be happy to unarchive it.

***NOTE: If you have any questions, do not reply to the archive note email. Click on the link to go to the cache page and click on my name in the archive log at the bottom of the page. You can then send me an email regarding the cache. Please send me a link to the cache in question so I will know which cache it is regarding. I will not see notes posted to this cache page once it is archived.

Thanks for your understanding,

Geocache Description:

This is for Oreo2012 and Team_Ripley whom I've never met.

On Sunday, December 29, 2012 I was geocaching on the islands in Twin Lakes in Brooklyn Center when I found lying out in the open, a brand new, shiny container. At first I thought it was the one I was looking for, but as I went to sign the log I realized that couldn't have been the case. There was only one other signed log since the recent snow, so I opened up my phone and emailed Team_Ripley. As I skied down the lake to the next one, my phone rang. It was them, and indeed the cache was theirs. They had planned on finding a place to hide it, so instead of driving across the metro to return it, they just decided to ask me to hide it for them. I did - in Oreo's name, as I believe it was hers.

While hiding my cache called Duckie, I just couldn't leave this area without placing another.

In the spirit of sportsmanship and friendly caching, have fun!

PS: This was placed in the winter. I'll be interested in how accessible it will be in the summer. **This cache has been approved by the Three Rivers Park District**
