Bary mleczne wciąż cieszą się one dużą popularnością wśród osób, których nie stać na posiłki w drogich restauracjach. Kilka lat temu wybuchła wręcz moda na bary mleczne, które dla wielu są polską alternatywą dla amerykańskich fastfoodów i powstających jak grzyby po deszczu budek z kebabami.
Po wejściu do baru Neptun, znajdującego się w samym centrum Gdańska, od razu rzuca się w oczu schludne i czyste wnętrze. Trochę dziwi mały ruch w przestrzennym, dwupiętrowym lokalu, ale dzięki temu nie ma problemu ze znalezieniem wolnego stolika nawet w porze obiadowej. Ceny dość wysokie, jak na mleczne standardy, lecz jest to zdecydowanie najtańsza jadłodajnia przy ul.Długiej.
Klienci baru w czasie jedzenia mogą skorzystać z bezprzewodowego internetu, telewizora oraz stolika dla dzieci, czego nie doświadczymy w podobnych miejscach
Letnią porą do dyspozycji są stoliki wystawione przed barem.
Oferowane są też wtedy w okienku przy barze placki ziemniaczane z tartych ziemniaków ze śmietaną. Zawsze smaczne, wydaje mi się, że z dodatkiem startej cebuli i doprawione szczyptą pieprzu – tak jak lubię.

Milk bars still enjoy popularity among people who cannot afford to eat meals in expensive restaurants. A few years ago there was even a trend for milk bars, which for many people constitute a Polish alternative to American fast-foods and kebab takeaway restaurants.
After entering to the Neptune bar located in the very centre of Gdańsk, clean and neat interior immediately draws attention. Small crowd in spacious, two-storey room is kind of surprising, but thanks to this there is no problem with finding a free table even at dinner time. Prices are quite high as for milk bar standards, but it still is the cheapest restaurant at Długa Street.
Bar’s clients may use wireless Internet during their meals, as well as TV set and children table, which cannot be found in similar places.
In summer period clients can also use the tables outside the bar.
At that time, potato pancakes with cream are offered in the bar window. Always tasty and I think that with a bit of grated onion and pepper – just as I like them.
I recommend it in crowded Gdańsk!
