Agricultural Ditch Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

paulks: My caches bring people to interesting places that help them appreciate something special about the area. This cache featured the irrigation canal and explained some of its heritage. Even so, this cache has been a hassle to maintain because it keeps getting stolen, even though I had moved it to a different location. It is time to stop wasting time. Goodbye cache.

Geocache Description:

You are searching for a camo pill bottle. Keep an eye on little kids when they are near the canal.

This cache is adjacent to the Agricultural Ditch which flows over 20 miles into the heart of Lakewood from Clear Creek. The canal flows from April through October, and is dry over the winter. Some of the properties along the canal have water rights and pump the water to irrigate their lawns. The area used to be agricultural, but the fields and apple orchards have been replaced with suburbs.
