Geocache Description:

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES. You will have to make sense of the following puzzle to find the correct coordinates.

When I was growing up I remember learning about the imperial measurement system in Junior High. I had a shop teacher that introduced it to us with reference to an imperial kingdom.

There was a King who loved to invade and every time he made a large territorial aquisition he was faced with the daunting task of splitting the land equally amongst his family. He gave it some thought and soon found an easy solution to divide his land fair.

The King had a simple family. He was married to a lady named Arianne and together they had two children named Gabriel and Elizabeth. The King also had a younger brother named Philippe. Philippe was married to Maria and they also had two children named William and Louise.

First, the King split his land with his brother. This meant that half of the land went to the King and half of the land went to Philippe. But the King forgot about his wife and sister-in-law. But the King also forgot about his two children and his niece and nephew. So he started over again and half of a half of a half went to the King, half of a half of a half went to Arianne, half of a half of a half went to Philippe, half of a half of a half went to Maria, half of a half of a half went to Gabriel, half of a half of a half went to Elizabeth, half of a half of a half went to William and half of a half of a half went to Louise. And so the King had divided the land equally amongst his family and the new kingdom was peaceful. The kingdom remained in perfect balance until he received news that his son would soon marry, his daughter was expecting, his nephew passed away and his niece had two long lost sisters… And so began the never ending imperial breakdown, a half of a half of a half of a half of a…
