Event Place:~ Two Owl's Garage in Grantown on Spey
Event time:~ Sunday 28th July 2013 1pm ~ 5pm approx.
This is the second Strathspey Event to be held in Grantown on Spey, Cairngorms National Park, Scotland.
We propose to organise some entertainment ( no jugglers !) and special treats ????
Some new exotic caches will be placed and published on 27th July.
We hope you will come along to enjoy the caches in this area, meet a few fellow geocachers and make new friends. Everyone is very welcome.
Grantown on Spey is a vibrant Scottish Town situated between Inverness and Aviemore. We delight in beautiful scenery, mountains, lochs and woodland with a wide range of spectacular wildlife such as ospreys, otters, capercaillies ( if you are lucky), etc. Good for photography, walking, cycling, and enjoying fresh air.
There are many guest houses and B&Bs available in the town as well as 2 bunkhouses.
We have the Speyside Way passing through the town, Malt Whisky Trail, Harley Davidson ride out from Aviemore, Motor Mania, nearby Abernethy Highland Games, Cairngorms Farmers Market plus other events throughout the year.
At the event...
There will be adequate wheelchair access, plenty seating for tired Cachers and friends, toilet and wash facilities, wet weather cover( hopefully not required!!) There will no longer be a BBQ...but bring along your own picnic and drinks if you want.

We have placed 10 one-day hides in Kylintra Park ( within 10 minute walk of Parkburn) with permissions, so that visitors who woulld like to know more about caching can be taken out by Geocachers ( volunteering their expertise on the day) and shown the basics. Hopefully they will enjoy the experience and sign up for more. Some fancy 'trades ' included especially for children.
