Geocache Description:

There are few places in Ireland where you can litterly see another location with the exact same name, East Ferry is one of those places. We like to think of this as the real East Ferry, it is after all east of its imposter.

The ferry which gives the locality its name no longer runs but in living memory it was possible to be rowed across the channel to go to work, school or church!

Should you see, coming out of the mist, a boatman with latern aglow who demands payment for crossing and you are brave enough to go, then be sure to only pay the fee once you have crossed and have your feet on solid ground again as who knows where you might end up otherwise.

If you make it across then you can truly say you have arrived at where you were!
