FAD-CACHE-STIC Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Five And Dane: I have been unable to check on this. Unfortunately I also do not see any opportunity in the near future. I have decided to open up the spot to allow other caches. Thank you to the wonderful cachers that found this cache. We all very much enjoyed reading your logs and comments.

Geocache Description:

Unfortunately the original container has been muggled so we had to replace it with a camoed bottle form with a red string wrapped around just below the cap.

When we first started caching in July 2012 we were kind of regretting our move from North Calgary to South Calgary. Especially due to the fact that we started the 99-Day challenge so early in our caching adventure. There was a definite lack of close, easily retrievable caches in our area. Now that we have progressed to the next stage of our caching experience we see nothing but a land of opportunity.

This is our first placed cache. Our geokiddies have been hounding us to hide our own so we ensured they were VERY involved in putting this one together. I hope other geokiddies enjoy it as much as they have had putting it together.

The cache is placed in the green space in our community. We quite often frequent this space to allow the geokiddies and Dane to stretch their legs.

Stealth may be required during certain, busy, times of day. You are looking for a camo-painted 1 L salsa container. Original contents include a pocketmod logbook and pencil along with some small trades from the geokiddies. The container is tall and thin so, lots of room for trades that are shaped likewise.

First to Find prize is a beautifully hand crafted DIY laminated "first-to-finder" card entitling the bearer to all bragging rights and privileges recognized by the Geocaching Community.

Congratulations to Igloomaniacs for the first to find! Also thank you to all for your kind words of encouragement.
