This is a chance to join us for a quick FLASH MOB and a photograph. This will also be the start of a Travel Bug / Geocoin race. The event will be held at South Haven Village Apartment's clubhouse @ 11:00am. This clubhouse can be accessed from Stop 11 Rd. Address provided below.

For this RACE, PLEASE use a new unused Travel Bug or Geocoin. This event is 1 month away and gives all geocachers a chance to purchase a new TB or Coin if needed. Travel Bugs and Geocoins can always be purchased at the Geocaching store. http://shop.geocaching.com/default/trackable-items
Rules for the Race:
- All Travel Bugs and Geocoins must start in a geocache in Marion County.
- A point system will be used to keep track of the leaders (point system provided below)
- The race ends on 12/31/2013 at 11:59 pm
- MOST IMPORTANT, HAVE FUN !!!
Point System:
- 1 point = 100 miles traveled
- 1 point = each logged "discovered"
- 5 points = each time it is placed in a geocache
- 10 points = each state the TB/Coin stops at
- 10 points = photo of TB/Coin uploaded
- 20 points = attended an event
- 25 points = if the TB/Coin leaves the United States
- 10 points = for each different country the TB/Coin stops in
I will also track each TB / Geocoin and give monthly updates of the standings.
