Geocache Description:

This is a traditional cache is on the important conservation fish habitat area of Round Hill Creek.  The extensive mangrove stands and seagrass beds along the estuary provide ample food and protection for marine species.

Try your luck fishing for the famous mangrove jack or barramundi, bream, estuary cod, flathead, garfish, sea mullet, tailor, whiting, blue salmon, grey mackerel, grunter, jewfish, king salmon, queenfish, school mackerel, banana prawns, tiger prawns and mud crabs.  Round Hill Creek is the only creek in the Tannum Sands to Round Hill Heads region where the golden mangrove fern.
