Pirates Trail 46.

The Blokiebloke Twin Peak Challenge (2000 ft).





This cache will will take you to the 11Km mark from Koycegiz up into the mountains of Mugla Province,

This medium sized cache is placed on a hill top with breathtaking views down onto the lake and town of Koycegiz. This is the first of the two peaks on the Winter Challenge course when there is too much snow to complete your journey to the Summer Lake.

After checking out the hilltop the day before we returned with various pieces of equipment and a new Turkish flag to replace the worn out one which had been flying here previously. Gaffer tape fixed a knife onto the pool cleaning pole and the old rope was soon cut away from the top of the flagpole, that was the easy bit completed, next, as the picture shows, was just a simple case of taping a fishing rod onto the pool pole and trying to get a lead fishing weight on a thin nylon string between the roller and bracket, after several modified attempts and quite some time later we had achieved our goal and the Turkish flag was once more flying on top of Mount Kieron.


The spoiler pictures on the Pirate Trail caches should make life a lot easier when searching for caches, not sure how to with other smart phones but if you have an Iphone, get the spoiler picture on the screen and press the off button with the button on the front of the phone at the same time and it will take a picture of what is on the screen and save it to your photo gallery so you can access the spoilers at GZs without the roaming charges.
