Geocache Description:

A quick cache near the entrance to Rec Park. When nearly everyone I know sees boards like this, they think checkers; but I think chess.

En Passant is a rare chess maneuver using only pawns that not many casual players know about. It is a french term meaning "in passing."
Every chess player knows that pawns can move two spaces on their first turn only and that they can only attack diagonally.
However, with en passant, if your pawn is on your opponent's side of the board and your opponent moves his pawn two spaces forward and to the adjacent square right next to you (most of the time to avoid confrontation or the possibility of losing that piece), you can take that piece.
You would move diagonally into the blank square just behind your opponent's pawn and you have just successfully attacked and taken your opponent's pawn. The kicker is, this attack can only happen immediately after your opponent made that move.

Of course they would argue you're cheating if they didn't know about the rule, which most likely they didn't.
Here is a wikipedia article I quickly searched to help illustrate en passant a little better if you're interested in learning this sneaky move http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/En_passant

I thought this would be a fun title since it's basically a park and grab and could be found while passing through the town.
As always, BYOP
