AUDITORIO DE SAN BLAS
El Auditorio de San Blas tiene su origen en la Iglesia de San Blas, del siglo XIII. Fue erigida en la zona conocida como Peñuelas de San Blas, lejana, de mal terreno y de pocos y pobres pobladores en aquella época

En el siglo XVIII la iglesia se debe reconstruir por completo dado el pésimo estado en que se encontraba. Intervienen en la restauración, entre otros, los arquitectos Andrés y Jerónimo García Quiñones, muy presentes en la construcción salmantina de aquel entonces

La iglesia, sin apenas decoración y de nave única, sufrió serios daños durante la Guerra de la Independencia y posteriormente el abandono, llegando incluso a ser utilizada durante unos 30 años como carbonería en el siglo XX. Finalmente, en los años 80 del pasado siglo, el edificio se cedió al Ayuntamiento de Salamanca y fue restaurado para convertirse en Auditorio Municipal, función que sigue desarrollando a día de hoy
The church, with little decoration and only a shed, was damaged during the Independence War and later it was abandoned and used as a coal yard for about 30 years in the twentieth century. Finally, in the 80s of last century, the building was donated to the City of Salamanca and was it restored to become Municipal Auditorium, function that continues today
