Myrrh
In the Catholic Church, January 6th marks the beginning of the octave of the Epiphany. This "twelfth day of Christmas" commemorates the arrival in Bethlehem of the magi (or wise men) bearing gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Why gold, frankincense, and myrrh? Archaeological evidence suggests that these may have been standard gifts to honor a king or deity in the ancient world. Myrrh, particularly, was an extremely expensive perfumed ointment used primarily for preparing bodies for burial.

Bearing gifts of tweezers and a pen would be wise.
