A small traditional feature placed near some distinctive rock formations in Golden Bay.
There used to be a classic cache here - GCQYK4. This was archived a while ago so I have decided to place a new cache to bring people to these very distinctive rock formations.
These limestone outcrops in the Aorere Valley in Golden Bay are so named because they look like the devil’s boots, sticking out of the ground upside down.
Although the road is quite narrow, there is room to park here.
The cache is not on, in or under either of the main features - the boots. It is in one of the other rocky outcrops on side of the road away from the river.
GPS reception not great in this terrain so I have added a hint.
Cache is a .8l plastic container with log, pencil, eraser, sharpener and a few small swaps (rescued from the archived cache). Thanks to the SoBad's for the container!
