It's been quite a while since I've placed a cache so here's a nice way to start of the new year. This is a fairly easy to find micro cache with no major obstacles. Too short a distance for a bike trip, but a great way to do a quickie cache-and-dash if you need a quick find. I even came across a few deer while placing the cache, so don't be too surprised if you see them too!
This is a fairly easy to find cache hidden in a cute little pill-case type container (screw-on lid) placed at the perimeter of a popular park/playground. Unfortunately the playground portion is under renovation but there is a soccer/football field that get's frequent use, and it's a pretty nice little park with easy access by Shady Grove Road. Some stealth may be required depending on the activity level at the park. Once the playground renovation is finished it should be lot's of fun for families . The cache can be reached easily by following the asphalt paved trail, but due to the renovations you'll have to walk on the grass for a short bit to get back on the trail. Oh, one other thing. Be sure to bring a pen! Cache container contains only the log file.
