Unfortunately there's been some continuing issues with this cache and there is no reaction from the owner. Since the cache no longer meets the Guidelines requirements, I am archiving it. I'm also archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

If you think you have legitimate reasons for lack of maintenance and want to restore the cache in the near future, please let me know as soon as possible by the email provided in my profile. The message must include the GC code and the name of the cache. If the cache meets the requirements of the Guidelines and the reasons for unarchiving are justified, I may unarchive the cache.

IMPORTANT:

Iako ima dosta waypointa, obilazak traje manje od sat vremena. I toplo preporučam večernje sate...
EN: Welcome to walk through the old town of Gradec ...
While there are plenty of waypoints, cache takes less than an hour. Evening hours are kindly recommended.

Gradec ili Grič naziv je za stari dio grada Zagreba na obronku Medvednice iz kojeg je, zajedno s Kaptolom, nastao današnji Zagreb. U 13. stoljeću utvrđen je kulama i bedemima te tada poprima i današnji izgled. Krase ga mnoge znamenitosti i posebnosti, a cache će vas provesti kroz neke od njih. Posebna atmosfera je nakon zalaska sunca kada ulice poprimaju tajanstvenu atmosferu...

Waypointi za skinuti su na engleskom jeziku kako bi bili razumljivi većini igrača.

Waypoint A - Kamenita vrata - N 45° 48.950 E 015° 58.516
Stojite ispred jednog od starih ulaza u Gradec (istočnog) i jedinog koji je do danas očuvan. U prolazu vrata smještena je kapela sa slikom Majke Božje od Kamenitih vrata, zaštitnice grada, koja je neokrnjena preživjela veliki požar 1731. godine.
ZADATAK: A = broj na plavom kućnom broju

Waypoint B - Institut za povijest- N 45° 49.028 E 015° 58.490
Nakon ugodne šetnje nalazite se ispred Hrvatskog instituta za povijest s prekrasnim vrtom i ogradom. Pored instituta, na pročelju zgrade, naći ćete i spomen ploču A. Mihanoviću, pjesniku koji je napisao tekst hrvatske himne.
ZADATAK: B = ukupan broj slova imena ispod dvije biste poznatih filozofa s obje strane ograde instituta

Waypoint C - Muzej grada zagreba - N 45° 49.106 E 015° 58.480
Nalazite se ispred Muzeja grada Zagreba, manje poznatog, ali izvrsnog muzeja s čestim odličnim izložbama. Uz njih raznovrsnost tema i predmeta stalnog postava, od umjetničkih do popularnih daje posebnu draž muzeju i uvodi posjetitelja u zanimljivosti iz bogatoga života Zagreba i njegova promjenjiva urbanog krajolika.
ZADATAK: C = broj nacrtanih prozora

Waypoint D - Plinska svjetiljka - N 45° 49.059 E 015° 58.403
Prve plinske svjetiljke u središtu Donjeg i u Gornjem gradu zasjale su 31. 10. 1863. godine, a obnovljene su 90tih godina. Svako jutro i predvečer kad se počne spuštati mrak dva nažigača ručno pale, a predjutro i gase 217 plinskih lampi za što im treba oko 2 sata. Obratite pažnju na zvuk kada im priđete.
ZADATAK: D = broj uz lampu na lijevoj strani ulaza

Waypoint E - Trg sv. Marka - N 45° 48.974 E 015° 58.415
Trg sv. Marka najpoznatiji je trg Gornjeg grada. Središnji dio zauzima prekrasna crkva sv. Marka s fascinantnim krovištem, lijevo je zgrada Vlade Republike Hrvatske (Banski dvori), a desno zgrada Sabora.
ZADATAK: E = broj crvenih crjepova na krovištu crkve. Šala mala :) - broj kipova na južnom ulazu u crkvu

Waypoint F - Muzej prekinutih veza - N 45° 48.902 E 015° 58.404
Muzej prekinutih veza, iako malen, jedan je od najzanimljivijih u gradu i svakako vrijedan posjeta. Ako se okrenete na drugu stranu primijetit ćete i stari način označavanja naziva ulica, a i inače ova ulica nudi krasne prizore ako se malo osvrnete i podignete pogled.
ZADATAK: F = broj prozora s griljama (drvenim kapcima) na strani gdje stojite (zapadna strana)

Waypoint G - Kula Lotrščak - N 45° 48.870 E 015° 58.391
Na ovom mjestu završava uspinjača, top s kule Lotrščak označava podne i pruža se prekrasasn pogled na grad. Iza postaje uspinjače tijekom cijele godine održavaju se razna događanja (poput ljetnog Strossmartrea) na otvorenom u sjeni kestena.
ZADATAK: G = cijena u kunama za korištenje teleskopa

Waypoint H - Strossmayerovo šetalište - N 45° 48.856 E 015° 58.455
Strossmayerovo šetalište izvrsno je mjesto za laganu šetnju i opuštanje, a čovjek kojeg ćete vjerojatno zagrliti i slikati se s njim je Antun Gustav Matoš, hrvatski pjesnik.
ZADATAK: H = ??. zagrebački salon 1978. (natpis na zidiću nasuprot kipa)

Waypoint I – Plato - N 45° 48.875 E 015° 58.504
Tijekom ljeta ovdje se održavaju brojni festivali i događanja (Međunarodni folklorni festival, Ljetno kino...). S ovog mjesta (posebno noću) pruža se prekrasan pogled na susjedni Kaptol.
ZADATAK: I = broj redova u kojima su posloženi prozori na svijetloj zgradi (najbliža zgrada)

Waypoint J - Katarinin trg - N 45° 48.888 E 015° 58.446
Katarinin trg "skriva" crkvu sv. Katarine (s prekrasnom unutrašnjošću) i najstariju zagrebački gimanziju koje su izgradili Isusovci u 17. stoljeću. Bivši samostan uz crkvu sada je poznata galerija Klovićevi dvori.
ZADATAK: J = broj redova teksta pisanog zlatnim slovima na bijeloj pravokutnoj podlozi iznad ulaza

Waypoint A – Stone gate - N 45° 48.950 E 015° 58.516
You are standing in front of one of the old entrances to the Gradec (Eastern) and the only one that is preserved to this day. Inside the gates there is a chapel with the image of Our Lady of the Stone Gate, the patron of the city, which has survived intact the great fire of 1731.
TASK: A = the number on the blue house number

Waypoint B – Institut of history - N 45° 49.028 E 015° 58.490
After the pleasant walk you find yourself in front of the Croatian Institute of History, with a beautiful garden and fence. In addition to the institute, on the facade of the building, you will find a plaque memorated to A. Mihanović, a poet who wrote the lyrics to the Croatian anthem.
TASK: B = total number of letters of the names of famous philosophers under their busts on both sides of the fence of the Institute

Waypoint C - The Zagreb City Museum - N 45° 49.106 E 015° 58.480
You will find yourself in front of the Zagreb city Museum, a little-known but excellent museum with frequent excellent exhibitions. With them the variety of topics and subjects of the permanent exhibition, from the artistic to the popular gives the museum a special charm and introduces visitors to the curiosities of the rich life of Zagreb and its changing urban landscape.

Waypoint D – Gas lamps - N 45° 49.059 E 015° 58.403
First gas lamps in the center of the Lower and Upper Town lit up on 31st October 1863 and were renewed in the 90s. Every morning and evening when it starts to get dark two street lamp lighters manually lit and in the morning extinguish 217 gas lamps which takes about 2 hours. Pay attention to the sound when you come close to them.

Waypoint E – St. Mark's Square - N 45° 48.974 E 015° 58.415
St. Mark's square is the most famous square of the Upper Town. The central part is occupied by a beautiful church of st. Mark with a fascinating roof, to the left is the building of Croatian Government, and on the right the Parliment.
TASK: E = number of red tiles on the roof of the church. Just kidding :) - the number of statues at the southern entrance of the church

Waypoint F - Museum of Broken Relationships- N 45° 48.902 E 015° 58.404
Museum of Broken Relationships, although small, is one of the most interesting in the city and definitely worth a visit. If one turns to the other side of the street you will notice the old way of labeling street names and in any case this street offers beautiful scenery if you just take a moment and look around.
TASK: F = number of windows with wooden shutters on the side you are standing (west side)

Waypoint G - Tower Lotrscak - N 45° 48.870 E 015° 58.391
Here you will find the top end of the funicular, the canon on the top of the tower Lotrscak that marks the noon with a loud bang and a wonderful view of the city. Behind the funicular station throughout the year you will find various events (such as summer Strossmartre) on the open in the shade of chestnuts.
TASK: G = price in Croatian currency (kuna) to use the small telescope

Waypoint H - Strossmayer promenade - N 45° 48.856 E 015° 58.455
Strossmayer's promenade is a great place for a leisurely stroll and relaxing and the man who you will probably hug and take a picture with is Antun Gustav Matos, a Croatian poet.

Waypoint I – Plateau - N 45° 48.875 E 015° 58.504
During the summer, you can find numerous festivals and events that are held here (International Folklore Festival, Summer cinema ...). From here, (especially at night), there is a beautiful view of the nearby Kaptol.

Waypoint J - Catherine's Square - N 45° 48.888 E 015° 58.446
Catherine's Square "hides" the church of st. Catherine (with a beautiful interior) and the oldest gymnasium in Zagreb built by the Jesuits in the 17th century. Former monastery next to the church is now well known gallery Klovićevi dvori.
TASK: J = the number of lines of text written in gold letters on a white rectangular surface above the entrance
