Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden along the Hinemaiaia stream, Park at the waypoint below the SH 1 Bridge, then continue West along the river towards the cache.

The Hinemaiaia is a popular trout fishing stream, that is the winter spawning ground for many of Lake Taupo's rainbow trout, although it is not as large as some of the other rivers in the area, it has a good combination of long runs, riffles, pools, bends, narrow runs and snags:)

The track along the river is used by many walkers, mountain bikers, and fishermen and women.

Please keep to the walking tracks, as local volunteers have spent a lot of time and effort planting native plants along the river.

Bonus points to cachers who practice Cache in Trash out!

The cache is a Camo container hidden about a 600m walk from the parking area. Walk along the river and keep to the main track.Be carefull at GZ as muggles can approach from all sides.

The cache is hidden between two small trees at Ground Level about 2m off the track,

Please re-hide by covering with natural camo.
