So, we were introduced to Geocaching by our friends in Florida, Family Odyssey. We have the awesome pleasure of spending every new years together since our kids were born almost 10 years ago. Well, we started a new tradition, the Make It Gift!. This cache is their Make It Gift to our family this year... how creative is that! It contains all sorts of things that have kind of defined our kids and us over the years, and it also starting with 3 travel bugs representing each of our kids..
We love caching, and we love the many places we have come across due to our adventures..
This cache is a traditional cache, ammo container, and is located near a pretty interesting little spot...the land we live on used to be a farm awhile back.. and the family had reserved an acre to never be built on as it has some historical reference for the family. We ask when searching for this cache, you stay OUTSIDE the fenced area. There is no need to go in it as the cache is not located inside the fence. There is a parking area infront of the fenced area you can use to park your rides. Please know you will not have to go through anyone's property to find the cache! There may be onlookers though so stealth isn't a bad idea either.
The interesting facts regarding the family and the property is that one of the gentlemen , R. Seago, was a private in the continental line in the Revolutionary War. He was born Sept 1754 and died in 1810. I Seago, born 1813 fought in the Mexican War and died in 1846. B Seago and S Seago both also rest on the land as they both died of measles in 1857.
O the history,, The Revolutionary War, on a quiet day, listen quietly as the breeze blows, and silently thank those that fought for or to protect our freedom here in the country we love.
Hope you enjoy the cache, please feel free to grab a travel bug and let them roam
