Geocache Description:

Welcome to my first ever Fraser Valley Geo-Poker Run!

Check-in will begin at exactly 9am on Saturday March 30th, 2013 at the posted coordinates!

Upon Check-in, you will receive instructions on how to obtain your "Official Geo-Poker Run Coordinates Sheet", which will also contain some of the instructions and rules in case you forget.

Rules and instructions will be explained shortly after all Check-ins are completed so...
DO NOT BE LATE!

(All participants will be required to sign a liability waiver).

IMPORTANT: This is NOT a Race!
There is no bonus awarded for time and safety should be your priority!

This event is open to everyone! (can you say Meet and Greet!)
Whether you are participating in the Poker Run or there to cheer others on, we'd all love to see you there!

You should be able to drive/park close to all the caches in a family vehicle.

Some Details About the Geo-Poker Run

All players must pre-register by posting a “will attend" note on the cache event page before the event day.

There will NOT be a limit of how many teams/individuals can play. (But there is only ONE winner, each individual or team player will play their own hand.)

The entry fee per individual is $10 (age 17 and up), $5 (aged 13 to 16) and free for people age 12 and under. This must be received on the event day to get your list of cache coordinates. The fee will go towards prizes at the Final Table Event later in the day, and hiding the new caches that will be hidden for the event (I am planning on hiding up to 50 new publishable caches).

Hands will be ranked in the following order:

Royal Flush: A Straight Flush that consists of the five highest value cards, 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace.

Straight Flush: Five sequential cards of the same suit.

Four of a Kind: Four cards of the same value with one extra card present.

Full House: Three cards of one value, and two cards of another value.

Flush: Five cards of the same suit that are not all sequential.

Straight: Five cards of sequential value and differing "suits" (spades, clubs, hearts or diamonds).

Three of a Kind: Three cards of the same value with the remaining two cards not combining in any desirable way.

Two Pair: Two pairs of cards with the same value each pair having a different value. One extra card is present.

One Pair: Two cards of the same value with three extra cards that do not combine in any desirable way.

If you are unable to attend this event, maybe you will be able to make it to the final event...
Fraser Valley Geo-Poker Run Final Table Pizza Event (GC443PC). The final event will mark the end of the Poker Run, where your poker hand will be decided, and the Fraser Valley Geo-Poker Champion announced.

If you are late to the Final Table event, your hand could be disqualified from the game.

Thanks to Clay4 & whtwolfden for the idea to hold this event.
